Originally granted to you by the rulers of your Civilization as reward for completing their Novice Tasks, your City is the base from which you can expand your imperial hegemony. It is the seat of all non-Resource Constructions besides Camps and Temples and is accordingly the place where you recruit all Heroes, Merchants, Priests, and military units.
You are given great leeway in the design and organization of your City; buildings may be freely moved an unlimited number of times, and special cosmetic skins may be purchased at the Mall or won in an event to give it a more personalized flair. Many people choose to top off their City designs with Walls, Gates, and Towers, units that serve not only cosmetic functions but also help to protect City Resources from Plunder.
